Bird Sunday @ Quarry Hill - Jumpin Juncos
QHNC programs for adults, families, scout groups, etc., are offered the first four Sundays of each month. All programs begin in the Savanna Room at 1:30 p.m. and last approximately one hour. An admission fee of $2 for adults and $1 for youth will be collected. Registration is not required, but groups of 10 or more will receive programs half-price when pre-registered. Monthly Sunday topics are listed below.

The 1st Sunday (Bird Sunday) will focus on Birds and include trapping, netting, and releasing birds.

• September 7 , Hawk Kettles & Migrating Birds
• October 5, Waves of Whitethroats
• November 2, Jumpin Juncos


The 2nd Sunday (Critter Sunday) – Join us as we focus on Quarry Hill’s live animal displays (may include feeding of animals).

• September 14, No Program-Fall Harvest Festival
• October 12, A Log’s Life
• November 9, Turtles.


The 3rd Sunday (Cave Sunday) we'll tour the Quarry Hill cave. An optional hike to another of the park’s historical structures will follow.

• September 21, Cave Overlook
• October 19, Quarry
November 16, Climbing Wall


The 4th Sunday (Nature Sunday) – Join us as we explore an outdoor nature topic that will include a hike or activity.

• January 27 – Snow Tracks (snowshoes or tracking)
• September 28, Fossil Fortunes
• October 26, Animal Survival Game board
• November 23, Squirrelly Neighbors

Honors Choirs - Children's Choral Music Festival
Children’s Choral Music Festival. Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. Our Children’s Chorus and Treble Choir will welcome four guest choirs from St. Cloud, Collegeville, and Northfield in Minnesota and from Ames, Iowa. We are also delighted to have Dr. Juan Tony Guzmán from Luther College as guest clinician for this year’s annual gathering of young voices. Bethel Lutheran Church 810 Third Avenue SE, Rochester.
