First Steps 6-week Parent Education Program - Starts Today!

Who? Parents of children age 0-5 years old.

What? Early childhood family education groups over lunch!

Time Commitment? One-hour sessions for six weeks.

Topics? The topics will be chosen by the group. During each session, parents will have a chance to check in about specific parenting questions and concerns. Then, a family educator from Parents are Important in Rochester (PAIIR) will present information on the chosen topic through an interactive group discussion. Some topics may include: Building self esteem, Discipline tips and tools, Positive parenting, Chores without wars, Teaching responsibility, Working parent stress, Balancing work and family, Communicating with young children.

Rochester School's Boundary Adjustment Input Sessions

Rochester School Board will hold five Public Input Sessions on the Boundary Adjustment Recommendations. Input sessions will be held at the Edison Building, Room 137 on the following dates and times:

• Wednesday, October 29 - 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
• Thursday, October 30 - 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
• Monday, November 3 - 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, November 5 - 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
• Thursday, November 6 - 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Single Parent Support Group @ PAIIR

Meet with other single parents to share feelings, gain appreciation and encouragement and learn techniques for creative survival as custodial parents.
