RNeighbors empowers Rochester neighborhood residents to work together to creat colorful projects, such as street murals, transforming public space into neighborhood assets. Grab your family and join us in the Northrop Neighborhood between the Northrop Community Education Building and Goose Egg Park (2nd Ave and between 9th and 10th Street NW, on the one-way street going south) on Wednesday, August 11th for a street mural painting of a goose egg! Family Zumba Class

Family Zumba debuts on Saturday, April 17 (11:15am-noon) at Allegro School of Dance & Music. Family Zumba is a parent/child class where kids and parents get to exercise together and have fun while learning to dance! We will explore rhythms from around the world, learning a little salsa, cha cha, merengue, and more. Easy-to-learn steps, props, and games make it easy for the whole family to join in (all ages welcome). Come join the Zumba party at Allegro! This is a drop-in class, $15 per family. The Green Team Families Volunteering in Nature

Join us for a summer of fun and learning as families work together to improve our environment and to support the community asset that is Quarry Hill Nature Center. Look for the Green Team sign near the nature center at Quarry Hill every other Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Come to one event or come to them all! Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. In case of rain, we will not meet. Participation is free.

June 16 & July 28: Bugs! We will be collecting insects to feed to the terrarium inhabitants at the nature center. Please bring buckets and nets if you have them. A limited number will be available for use.

June 30 & August 12: Plants! We will be helping with new plantings and weeding existing gardens. Garden gloves and trowels may be useful.

July 14 & August 25: Litter! We will explore some of the educational trails at Quarry Hill and pick up litter along the way. Please bring your own bags and gloves.

NAMI Family-to-Family Support Group Mtg.

Thanks to the generosity of Mayo Clinic, we are now able to offer multiple support groups for families of those impacted by mental illness. On the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month (except for holidays), the group will meet at St. Marys Hospital/Generose Building in room M227 from 6:00-7:30PM. The support group is open to the public and parking validation will be available. On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month (except for holidays), the group meets at the NAMI SE MN Office from 7:00-8:30PM. 2 locations, 4 times a month, a meeting is nearby every week.
