It is open to all families and no registration is
necessary.

If your organization is hosting a Summer Camp for area
youth email the details (text version only, no attachments
please) to lindy@rochesterfamilies.com. Details should
include the basic facts (date, time, location, registration
criteria). Because of the high volume of submissions we are
sure to receive, write-ups that are brief and are easy to

Looking For A Few Good Families
Every year approximately 26 young men move to Rochester for
the summer to play for the Rochester Honkers. From June 1st
through August 20 these young aspiring ballplayers continue
to hone their baseball skills playing 68 games in 74 days.
Players come from all over the United States to participate
in the Northwoods League and to be a part of the Rochester
Honkers Baseball Team.

Over the 13 year history of the Rochester Honkers, the Host
Family program has been a vital part of the Honkers success
both on and off the field. Having the players become a part
of a local family helps these young men have some sense of
normalcy in a strange new city. Many of the players become
more than a guest, they actually become part of the family.
If you are interested in becoming a Honkers Host Family,
contact Dan Litzinger, Honkers owner and GM at 289-1170.
