In climbing, the challenges and rewards are essentially the same for children and adults, creating a unique family experience. In this two-hour introductory climbing class parents and children 12 and older will learn the basic safety skills required for climbing at Prairie Walls. Including how to put on a climbing harness, tie the rope into the harness, safety checks, top rope belaying and basic vertical movement. Children 11 and under will climb while the parents belay them. Upon successful completion of this class parents and children 12 and older will have the skills required to climb at Prairie Walls on your own. When: Saturdays 2:00 to 4:00pm. Tuesdays 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Cost: $33 for each adult or child 12 and older. $16 per child 11 years and younger. Note: The price includes all required rental equipment. If you son is interested in becoming a Scout call Gamehaven. They will help you find a Troop near your house or son's school.

Programming consists of character building, leadership skill development, life skill enhancement, and community service. Troop meetings include badge work, community service projects, and wholesome fun.

Classes include: Parent/Child Preschool (2-5 yrs), Family & Parent/Child Elementary Grades, Students Only (Elementary, Middle, and High School), and Adult & Teen. Quarry Hill also offers week-long summer Nature School Programs (Nature Camp) for kids 4 yrs-11th grade. Register early. These very fun classes are also very popular and fill up very fast. (FYI... priority placement for Family Members!)
