Rochester and the surrounding area offers a variety of birthday party options. Ranging from indoor to outdoor, sit down to get up and move, serious to super silly. Below you’ll find information on fun local ways to celebrate your child’s birthday.

Birthday parties at Minnesota Children’s Museum of Rochester are available Sundays, Thursdays, or Fridays and include one hour of exclusive museum time for up to 15 guests. Prices start at $125.

Busy B Fitness for Kids offers birthday parties for kids ages 2 through 6 years. Parties are 1.5 hours long. Themes include Busy Bee Birthday, Princess Party, Dinosaur Party, and Zumba Party, and start at $225. Cupcakes, decorations, cleanup and a 15 to 25 minute organized activity provided.

Pipsqueaks indoor play place offers 3-hour birthday party blocks. Appropriate for kindergarten age and younger, there’s lots of toys and plenty of room to let the kids run and play or to host your own party games. Party times available any day of the week. Cost is $90.

Party Zone Inflatables offers a huge selection of inflatable amusements including moonwalks, joust, huge slides, that can be delivered to your birthday party location.

Rochester International Dance Studio offers dance-themed birthday parties (Egyptian Princess, Hula) at your home or at their studio. RIDS also offers temporary henna or glitter henna art (stars, hearts and flowers or swords, lightning bolts and frogs). This can be added to your Egyptian Princess or Hula party.

Magician Bob Miller comes to your party location and offers two magical birthday party options: Basic Birthday Party (age-appropriate magic tricks, special trick, kids receive a magic jumbo dollar bill), Deluxe Birthday Party (everything in the Basic Party, plus balloon animals, giant birthday card trick with souvenir birthday card for the birthday child). Queen Elsa from Disney’s popular movie Frozen will attend your child’s birthday party. Elsa will sing along with the children and do a private “Let it Go,” rendition (if the kids let her). Quarry Hill Nature Center birthday parties are scheduled for 1-1/2 hours, are available most Saturdays and Sundays, and include a 30 minute or 45 minute fun, naturalist-led program (slimy critters, nature hunt, snowshoeing) either outside or inside depending on weather and/or topic. The remaining time is spent in the large party room with parent-directed game playing, crafts, presents, etc. Recommended age for birthday parties is 4 and up. Parties run $45 to $90. Discount for Quarry Hill members.

Red Barn Learning Farm birthday parties offer the use of picnic shelter, access to petting zoo/all play areas, haydride, carrot coupon or corn cone coupon for each child, farm-theme cake and free T-shirt for birthday child. Parties are $200 or $250.
Birthday parties at the History Center of Olmsted County are available Saturdays and include a one hour program for up to 20 guests. A $50 deposit is required and birthday parties prices are negotiable.

Lucky Star Pony Parties and Petting Zoo will come to your desired location (backyard, home, park, etc.) and provide safe, unlimited hand led pony rides for your child’s birthday party. They can also provide a small farm animals petting zoo for the kids to feed and get hands-on experience with (little donkey, pigmy goats, chicks, baby ducklings, rabbit, kittens (in season) and occasionally a baby calf or lamb). They have a larger pony as well as a small pony to suit various ages/sizes.

J.E.T.S. birthday parties run 1.5 hours and include an hour of gymnastics-based games, obstacle courses, foam pits, trampoline, tumble track and free play. J.E.T.S. provides the invitations, balloons, candles, organized games, cake and ice cream, juice, gift bags, thank you cards, and birthday party room. The birthday child receive a J.E.T.S. birthday T-shirt. Parties run $190 – $250.

Rochester Tennis Connection offers parties for ages 5 and up. No tennis experience necessary. Rackets are available at no charge. Parties include one hour of on-court entertainment by staff (relays, target tennis, etc.) and use of party room after. Room may be decorated prior to the party and cake, ice cream, pizza, may be brought in. No limit on time in party room unless another party has been scheduled. Cost: $100.

Soccer World parties include a personal party host, private party room, paper products. They have a large indoor filed for soccer, flag football, extreme kickball, gymnastics, inflatables, and more. Parties start at $95 and include themes like: Open Gym, Preschool Soccer Party, Preschool Multi-Sport Party, Soccer Blast Party, and Multi-Sport Party.

Yard Card Creations delivers big, bright and colorful yard cards to the lawn of your choice. Yard Cards also includes a personalized birthday message on a large marquee.

Snappy Signals offers a larger than life-sized bull, clown, chicken and buffalo. Rent one, park it in your driveway and display your birthday message.

Giggle Givers offers family-friendly fun at your birthday party with clowning, magic, balloons, juggling, face painting, puppets, glitter tattoos, and more! Giggle Givers serves SE Minnesota, SW Wisconsin, and Northern Iowa.

Bounce World offers a variety of party options: basic party packages, themed party packages, girly girl party packages, and more! Bounce World will do the set up and clean up after your party. Parties start at $175.

Colonial Lanes offers birthday party packages ranging from Basic to Xtreme, with pizza or without. Prices include shoes and lane rental. Bumpers and cosmic bowling optional. Parties held Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Cost is based on a per participant price which runs $9.95 to $13.45.

Bowlocity offers bowling, arcade and/or laser-tag birthday parties. No outside food or beverages may be brought into the entertainment center. Prices are based on a per participant price which runs $8.99 to $24.99.

Rochester Scrapbooking Company offers birthday parties for kids ages 5 and up. They set up, clean up and oversee the craft project (paper bag book, photo frame, wall hanging). You bring the cake. Cost is based per participant which runs $6 to $8.50.

Michaels Arts & Crafts offers a variety of arts and crafts themed birthday party options. Party invitations, thank you cards, keepsake apron (for guest of honor), party setup and cleanup, and help with your craft included.

Salt & Pepper Photography offers birthday parties for princesses (and super heroes) of all ages! An average party lasts around 2 hours with the opportunity to dress up and have hair and make-up done along with a professional photo shoot. The studio provides dress-up clothes, jewelry and photo props. All guests will receive a commemorative 8×10 memory mate collage to remember the fun!

Do your kids love baseball? Do your kids love the Honkers? Slider, the Honkers baseball-headed mascot, makes birthday party appearances during the off season. Slider usually stays 1-2 hours (depending on the host’s request) and can pose for pictures, sign autographs, play with the kids, or lead the party in the YMCA song/dance. The ABC 6 Birthday Club is a fun way to say Happy Birthday to someone special. Birthdays announced live on air. Information must be submitted two weeks prior to the birthday. Highlighted birthdays receive a six inch sub from Subway.

KTTC’s Birthday Spotlight announces viewers birthdays live and on air every weekday morning at 6:20 a.m. Every week one lucky birthday boy or girl will win a $50 gift card from Victoria’s.

Zumbro Valley Paintball offers parties for kids ages 10 & up (fun for parents, too!). They supply the equipment and paintballs. Hot dogs, chips and pop provided at no charge at the end of your session. Six person minimum, but they can accommodate up to 65 at one time. Safety certified and insured business. You are welcome to open gifts and have cake at the field after your session.

Prairie Walls Climbing Gym instructors will guide your birthday group through two hours of indoor rock climbing. Kids start out on the “easy” instruction wall. After they have climbed the instruction wall the group graduates to the main climbing walls and bouldering areas. Parties may use the mezzanine area that overlooks the main climbing gym for cake and presents. If you want to bring in a birthday cake or pizza, that’s fine. Parties cost $150.

Birthday parties at Roca Climbing & Fitness include two hours of climbing in our party climbing room, built in slides, and event room for cake and presents. Birthday parties start at $145 for 8 climbers.

Snow tubing at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch in Stewartville is a great way to celebrate your winter birthday. Offered when there’s snow on the ground, Ironwood Springs provides tubes, a tow rope, and a warming house.

At the Rochester Area Family Y you can choose between a fun and exciting Gym Party or a splashing good time in the water park for a Pool Party! Parties are $60 for members of $120 for nonmembers.

At the Rochester Athletic Club choose between a The Neighborhood, tennis, or pool party. The activity offered may last 45 minutes to 1 hour followed by time on the Neighborhood picnic tables for food, cake, and presents. Birthday child, parent, or grandparent must be a RAC member.

The Recreation Center offers swimming, skating, and open gym parties at really reasonable rates and offers a large party room for no additional charge. There is no birthday party information on there website. Instead visit their website and email them questions.

Does your child have a summer birthday? Pool parties are available at both of Rochester’s outdoor public pools: Soldiers Field pool and Silver Lake pool.

For a trouble-free birthday party, reserve the bright and cheerful party room at CineMagic Theatres. The party room is yours to decorate as you choose and holds up to 15 people. Then pick the movie you and your guests wish to see.

Do you have a horse lover? Celebrate their birthday at Red Gate Riding in Rochester. Your birthday party package will include two hours at their horse facility for riding, games and a heated/air conditioned lounge.  Red Gate also provides party favors…a free riding lesson for each child! Cost is $250.
Silver Springs Equestrian Center offers horse-themed birthday parties: one hour with the horses and pony/horse rides, one hour in the private party/game room, free riding lesson for each child. Cost is $250.

Allegro School of Dance and Music birthday party themes include Princess, Butterfly, Ballet and Hip Hop or you can suggest an idea of your own. Movement, music, games, gifts, photo opportunities and treasured time fill your birthday party at Allegro! You provide: the birthday child, up to 9 guests, cake, beverages and party ware. The birthday child receives a special T-shirt and each guest receives a party favor coupon for one free class!

Tippi Toes Dance Studio offers Pincess, Hip Hop, Frozen, Fairytale Land and more birthday party themes. In oru new studio, we take care of everything including invitations, balloons, organized games, cupcakes, gift bags, thank you cards, and clean up. Parties run $130 to $250.

Chuck E.Cheese’s offers reserved and walk-in birthday parties for kids of all ages. This walk-in option will come in helpful if you planned to plan a party, but didn’t end up planning a party.
