A website for families in Rochester, MN

Special Needs

Rather than redo what’s already been done by others, we’re providing links to two existing special needs resources. Both are updated annually and both contain links to dozens and dozens of local special needs resources.

First, the SNOC (Special Needs Organizations Committee) Resource Manual (see link to PDF below) is an extensive listing of resources and services within and around Rochester that serve persons with special needs, physical disabilities and developmental disabilities. For more information on SNOC contact Karen Meyer (Rochester Park and Rec, Adaptive Rec) at 365-6951. If you know of an additional resource for youth or adults with special needs, and would like to see it added to the SNOC Resource Manual, please email Eva Newman.

Second, Olmsted County’s Community Connections Family Resource Directory contains several Rochester-area agencies, services and support groups. Click here, Community Connections Family Resource Directory to view the latest version. Call 328-9654 or email Anna Kay with questions.
